Thrive Together, a local community organization dedicated to empowering the community is set to host a free smartphone workshop for seniors on March 9, Saturday. The workshop will feature Sharanda Strong Henry, the founder and CEO of StrongLink Technology, as the keynote speaker. StrongLink Technology is a tech company that specializes in creating innovative solutions for older adults to stay connected and engaged in the digital age.
The event, titled “Thrive Together: How to Thrive in Tech,” will take place at the community center on Saturday, March 9, from 10 am to 11:30 am, at Beacon of Light Houma, 4325 W. Park Ave. Gray, Louisiana 70359. The workshop aims to provide seniors with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively use their smartphones for communication, entertainment, and staying connected with loved ones.
StrongLink Technology has been at the forefront of tech education for seniors, recognizing the importance of digital literacy and connectivity in today’s society. Sharanda Strong Henry, a seasoned tech entrepreneur with years of experience in the industry, has dedicated her career to bridging the digital divide for older adults and empowering them to make the most of technology.

The workshop will cover a range of topics, including basic smartphone functions, downloading and using apps, internet safety, and staying connected with family and friends. Moreover, participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions and receive one-on-one support from volunteers trained in tech support.
“Many seniors feel overwhelmed by the rapid advancements in technology, but we want to show them that it’s never too late to learn something new,” said Strong. “Our goal is to empower seniors to stay connected, engaged, and informed in today’s digital world.”
